As reported by a number of articles, Johnny Depp, world renowned for his good lucks and charm, is a huge prankster. Apparently he carries a fart machine where ever he goes, especially to movie sets.

During the filming of “Finding Neverland“, there was a particuliarly difficult scene that required the cast to burst into spontaneous laughter, recalls Kate Winslet:

“It was a difficult scene and that’s when Johnny did one of the most triumphant things I have ever seen an actor do – he had a (fart) machine under the table…. The first take was priceless. The boys didn’t want to speak, to say, ‘Somebody’s farted.’ But then it happened again and we were bursting with laughter. That was the thing that made the scene work.”

Years prior, Depp was also interrupted the scenes of Penelope Cruz, and antagonized the crew with the same fart machine and whoopee cushions, while shooting the movie “Blow”.

He also used this machine in “Sleepy Hollow”, as he was quoted in a german interview:

“Tim Burton planned Sleepy Hollow as sort of a silent movie with sound in the tradition of the old Hammer-Movies. Highly dramatic but not at all serious. Thus I brought my little fart machine to the set, it always helps relax the atmosphere. But Michael Gambon, I mean could you imagine – The great Shakespeare actor Michael Gambon had one too – with remote control. He used to hide it in the corpses and I always fell for it. I love flatulence humor. As you might know I dreamt for a long time about a fart-operetta with me in the title role.”

Depp used the same funny antics during the shooting of the blockbuster hit, “Pirates of the Carribean“.

“The boys went crazy. I mean, they lost their minds.” Depp laughs. “You’d be surprised how often it works. (the fart machine) doesn’t get old too quickly.”
“That kind of thing is particularly fun on an airplane and it’s quite fun in an elevator too.”

We tried to locate Mr. Depp’s address in order to send him the new 2005 fart machine, which features 10 extra farting sounds and improved sound technology, but evidently Johnny’s address is unlised.
