Happy new year, and all of that crap. It has been a while since our last post, many apologies to our 3 loyal zymetrical.com readers for that lapse.

In our continuing effort to increase profits help you find products, we have been playing around with formatting, verticals, and a few other things, both cosmetic and technical. The end goal is for customers to find whatever they are looking for as quickly as possible, and to show them relevant things that they may not have known about. Easier said than done. First up, we have added a web 2.0ish feature, displaying some of our more popular (keyword) search terms, or “tags” at the bottom of the left hand bar on all product pages. Click on any of the links to see related products, or enter your own in the keyword box if you like. For example, clicking on the “chicken tag” would show you all of our, well, chicken (and related) products. Pretty straightforward eh?

We have also re-arranged/renamed some of the categories, added others and deleted a few to make it a bit easier for you to, again, find what you are looking for as quickly as possible. Expect that to get more refined over the course of the year as we continue to expand our catalog.

Second, we have been tweaking the ‘product placements’ you see in the right side bar, which is displaying more relevant products than before. (More on that soon). So, for our poop chocolate (yes, that is really edible!!), all of the product placements you see will be about poop.

Speaking of poop, have you checked out our 2007 dog poop calendars yet?!? (previous blog post). Well, for a limited time (until they run out), we have slashed the price on those to just $9.79 each, and for a limited time, we are also giving one away with each order that exceeds $64. Good to know if your order is $60 and you want to bump it up a few bucks, or if you are looking for a perfect gift for that favorite ex. What are you waiting for, they aren’t going to sell themselves people.
