Standard USPS Priority Shipping is Standard
April 29th, 2008 @ 2:58 pm by zymetric“Priority” is nothing more than a name. It is marketing and does not convey urgency or speed.
On our shipping page, during the checkout process, and in your account the reason we state that USPS standard priority mail typically averages 3-4 business days for delivery once shipped is because that is how long it usually takes. Sometimes it arrives in 2 days (or less), sometimes 5, but generally it is 3-4. If we could speed that up rest assured we would, but that is entirely in the hands of the United States Postal Service once it is picked up by them, and contrary to what some may seem to think, we don’t actually hand deliver orders.
Furthermore, each priority label printed comes with a delivery confirmation#, which is not at all to be confused with a tracking#. It is to confirm delivery only and as such, is generally not scanned until delivery, hence why it is called delivery confirmation. That is why it says that in your account, so if you contact customer service and ask why your priority tracking# is not scanned, they are going to tell you exactly that. If you require a tracking# that is updated frequently we highly recommend UPS ground. In fact, we recommend UPS ground for most orders.
File this under rants.
