If you happen to be in Utica, NY on Sunday, July 13th then why not participate in a Guinness world record attempt. Organizers hope to hand out 7,000 pairs of glasses to participants running in their annual boilermaker race. This is far more glasses than the last few attempts (and the official record), so we fully expect them to take the title, at least in the short term…

The event is being sponsored by Bluecross Blueshield and the F.X. brewery, in an attempt to show how ‘Brand-names are just generics in disguise’, according to the race director. Did we mention it is being sponsored by a drug company? There is a short video on wktv.com (screenshots below).
